Director SS Rajamouli about Shankar’s 2.0
Baahubali director Rajamouli yesterday shared the first look poster of 2.0 directed by Shankar.
He wrote “The Master coming with a double bonanza… Next Diwali will be even louder! Can’t wait… #2point0” in his official Facebook page.
Shankar and Rajamouli are two of the biggest directors in Indian cinema in terms of commercial success and delivering movies with international standards.
In the past, there have been many discussions and debates over who is the greatest among these 2 directors. But Rajamouli’s gesture of sharing Shankar’s new movie’s first look poster and calling him a master shows the mutual respect these two directors have for each other.
SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali released in 2015 broke Enthiran’s record and went on to become Indian cinema’s highest grossing movie. We will have to wait and see whether Shankar’s 2.0 can better the record.
2.0 is a sci-fi movie starring superstar Rajinikanth and Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar in the lead. It is the sequel to Enthiran. First look posters of 2.0 were launched yesterday in Mumbai. Many technicians from Hollywood are working in this movie. It is touted to be the most expensive movie ever made in Indian cinema bettering Rajamouli’s epic historical fiction drama Baabubali.
Rajamouli meanwhile is busy with the post production works of the sequel to Baahubali, Baahubali : The Conclusion. It is one of the most expected movies in Indian cinema thanks to the massive success of the first part.
Both the movies are scheduled to release next year. Baahubali : The Conclusion is slated to release in April next year while 2.0 is scheduled to release for Diwali. It will be mouthwatering to see two ultimate showmen of Indian cinema, releasing their highly expected movies back to back.
