After Velaikkaran, Sivakarthikeyan to star in a science-fiction film!
Sivakarthikeyan is currently basking in the glory of his latest release, Velaikkaran. The movie directed by Mohan Raja has found appreciation from the critics as well as the commoners. Velaikkaran has already been declared as a hit and Sivakarthikeyan has once again showed his command at the Tamil Nadu box office.
As per trustworthy reports, the actor has signed for a new project. Sivakarthikeyan will be teaming up with director Ravi Kumar who made an impressive debut with ‘Indru Netru Naalai’ in 2015. While his debut film had a time-travel concept, the director’s next with Siva will be a science-fiction film.
Reportedly, Sivakarthikeyan had committed for the project long back. The director and his team have been working on the script for over a year now as it demanded enormous time and effort for the pre-production work. RD Raja of 24 AM Studios will be producing this big budget film, marking his third time association with the actor after Remo and Velaikkaran.
This yet-to-be-titled movie will go on floors after he completes shooting his portions for Ponram’s ongoing rural rom-com entertainer.. It is his third film with the director after superhit films Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam and Rajini Murugan. Samantha plays the female lead while Simran plays the baddie in the movie.
It is heartening to see Sivakarthikeyan not confining himself to usual commercial films. With his lovable guy-next-door image, the actor has mostly done roles which offer him scope for humour. But, of late, we can see a ostensible attempt from the actor to try out different genres.
