Vikram’s next will go on floors this September
For the last few months, Vikram has been busy working on two projects simultaneously. He had been juggling between the sets of Gautham Menon’s Dhruva Natchathiram and Vijay Chander’s Sketch. As both the movies are nearing completion, the actor is prepping up to start works for his next. As reported earlier, Vikram is teaming up with director Hari for the sequel of their superhit movie Saamy.
According to latest reports, Saamy 2 will go on floors by September. Just like Hari’s previous films, this one will also have a tight schedule and they are planning to wrap it up by January.
Saamy 2 stars two female leads in Trisha and Keerthy Suresh. National award winner Bobby Simha is playing the antagonist’s role in the movie. Besides the aforementioned actors, the movie also stars Prabhu, Delhi Ganesh, John Vijay, Soori and Imman Annachi in supporting roles.
Saamy, released in 2003 was a cop-action movie in which Vikram played the role of Aarusaaamy, a honest and tough cop. As per the director, Bobby Simha’s villain role will be a very intense one which will be as competitive as Vikram’s lead role. Their combination scenes will be the movie’s major highlight.
Shoot has been planned in locations all across the country like Chennai, Kerala, Delhi, Noida, Agra, Jaipur, Nainital and Nepal. Shibu Thameens, who previously produced Vikram’s Irumugan, will be funding this movie.
