Vimaanam starts rolling
Prithviraj’s Vimaanam directed by debutant Pradeep M Nair has finally started rolling. Prithviraj is playing the role of a deaf and mute person who builds a light weight aircraft on his own.
The movie has been in the news for a long time now. The makers of Vimaanam had earlier filed a case against Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Aby as both the movies had similar plots about an youngster who builds an aircraft on his own out of his love for flying. The case was recently judged in favour of Aby’s team.
Vimaanam is inspired from the real life of Saji Thomas, a hearing and speech impaired person from Idukki, who built a light weight aircraft on his own. But the movie is not a biography about Saji Thomas’ life. It will have an endearing romantic track also.
Vimanam will be a big budget movie involving a lot of VFX works for the flying scenes. The movie will have two time periods with Prithviraj appearing in two different looks. Reportedly, the actor will be shedding a few kilos for the movie.Prithviraj will also be taking flying courses to playing his part in the movie.
Nedumudi Venu, Sudheer Karamana, Shanthi Krishna and many other prominent supporting actors are also part of the cast.
Gopi Sunder is composing the music for this movie which will be produced by Listin Stephen.
Shoot will majorly happen in Batkal in Mangalore. Kochi and Delhi are the other locations
