Aamir Khan’s Dangal trailer is out
Aamir Khan starrer Dangal has long been in the making and is one of the most expected movies of the year. The movie has Aamir Khan playing a wrestler inspired from a real life character. The trailer of the movie was released today.
Dangal is a sports drama film directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Aamir Khan is portraying the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat, who taught wrestling to his daughters Babita Kumari andGeeta Phogat.
Dangal has been in the news ever since its announcement. Aamir Khan piled on kilos for making the part look perfect.
He is playing two distinct roles in the film: one as the 60-year-old wrestler Mahavir Phogat, and the other showing the wrestler as a 20 year old.
Aamir Khan gained around 30 kgs and weighed around 98 kg for portraying the role of the ageing wrestler. Later he lost around 25 kgs to play the younger role in the movie.
The trailer shows Mahavir Phagot’s dream of winning a gold medal in wrestling for the country through his daughters.
Aamir Khan looks perfect as the aged man and his transformation is unbelievable. He has also perfected the Haryanvi accent for the movie.
Dangal also stars Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim, Suhani Bhatnagar, Vivan Bhatena, Aparshakti Khurrana and Girish Kulkarni in other important roles.
The movie is produced jointly by Aamir Khan,Kiran Rao and Siddharth Roy Kapoor for Aamir Khan Productions and Disney World Cinemas.
Dangal is scheduled to release on 23 December 2016.
