Sachin First Day Collection Report
Sachin A Billion Dreams, one of the most anticipated film of this year, was released on May 26 in 2400 screens in India and 400 screens overseas. It opened to great reports from the critics who rated it as an absolute fan for all the Sachin fans.
The film saw an occupancy rate of 80% in most multiplexes across the country. Trade experts report it to be a fairly good number for a working day like Friday.
Sachin A Billion Dreams has managed to do a business of Rs 8.40 crores on it’s first day at the Indian box office. This is a collective figure from all five languages (Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, English) in which the movie was released.
India’s leading trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted,
“Considering it’s a docu-drama,#SachinABillionDreams opens IMPRESSIVELY… Fri ₹ 8.40 cr. India biz [Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, English]”
Sachin: A Billion Dreams is written and directed by British filmmaker James Erskine. Ravi Bhagchandka and Carnival Motion Pictures have produced this film under the banner of 200 NotOut Productions. Acadmey Award winner AR Rahman has composed the music.
Sachin: A Billion Dreams is a docu-drama that showcase the journey of the legend from a kid to the world’s best cricketer. Apart from Sachin’s cricket and personal, it also revelas certain unknown aspects of his life.

Sachin Tendulkar, his wife Anjali, kids Sara and Arjun, cricketers Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virender Sehwag are all part of the movie. The film was shot simultaneously in Hindi, Marathi and English. It was later dubbed in Tamil and Telugu.
