24 Movie First Day Collection Report – Kerala

Suriya Film titled 24 had released all over yesterday and in Kerala it had got around 173 screens. The film got positive response from the masses and had made it big at box office as well. As per the reports coming from trade Pandits, the flick had grossed 1.89 cr from its first day here in Kerala.

It is the biggest ever opening by any Suriya film in Kerala till now as well. The film had got the 3rd biggest opening collection here in Kerala this year after Vijay’s Theri which got above 2.40 crore on first day and Dulquar Salman’s Kali which got around 2.30 crore.

This is for the first time that a Suriya starrer is grossing near 2 crores from Kerala on its first day. Yesterday, the film had got an above average occupancy at most of the screens in the morning. It was due to the recent failures Suriya had suffered as his films like Mass and Anjan were total failure here.

Even though 24 started off slow in the morning, the great word of mouth had spread and it resulted in heavy rush and great box office stat for the evening shows of the film. If, it had a great morning it might have crossed the 2 crore mark here in Kerala and that could have been a great achievement for Suriya.
