Aavesham enters Rs 100 crore club

Fahadh Faasil’s latest release Aavesham has successfully entered the Rs 100 crore club of Malayalam. As per trade trackers, it is the fourth Malayalam film this year after Premalu, Manjummel Boys and Aadujeevitham to achieve this phenomenal feat. This is also Fahadh’s first 100 crore film from Malayalam.

Aavesham directed by Romancham fame Jithu Madhavan got released on April 11. It clashed with Vineeth Sreenivasan’s multistarrer film, Varshangalkku Shesham and Unni Mukundan’s Jai Ganesh, but still managed to emerge as the Vishu winner at the box office. The film, a fun mass entertainer, has Fahadh playing a gangster’s character named Ranga. Sajin Gopu and three newcomers, Hipzster, Mithun Jai Shankar and Roshan Shanavas play the other main roles. The film is centred around Ranga and the three boys.

Fahadh Faasil’s wife, actor Nazriya Nazim and director Anwar Rasheed have jointly produced the film, which has Sameer Thahir as the cinematographer, Vivek Harshan as the editor and Sushin Shyam as the music director.
