Anjaam Pathiraa heads towards Rs 40 crore club!

Kunchacko Boban starrer ‘Anjaam Pathiraa’ is moving towards a mega blockbuster status. From its 18 days of theatrical run worldwide, the film has grossed Rs 34.25 crore. It is expected to cross the Rs 50 crore mark very soon. From Kerala alone, the film has grossed Rs 24.10 crore and and another Rs 1.35 crore from Rest of India (RoI) centres.

From the overseas region, ‘Anjaam Pathiraa’ has earned Rs 8.80 crore. In North American belt alone, the film has done a business of $114K, which is said to be a huge figure considering the absence of a big star and the performance of the other recent Malayalam films. It is a clear indicator of the fact that the global market is widening for Malayalam cinema.

‘Anjaam Pathiraa’ directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas is a crime thriller centred around a series of killings of policemen. Kunchacko Boban plays the lead role of a criminologist. Unnimaya, Jinu Joseph, Harikrishnan, Jaffer Idukki, Sharafudheen and Remya Nambeesan play the other key roles.
