Prithviraj never got a solo blockbuster till this Sep 19. Even though he has been a part of blockbuster success like Classmates in the past it was not a solo hero subject and lead actors like Jayasurya, Indrajith etc were part of that movie. He has big successes like Memories, Indian Rupee etc as well but never got past the super hit or mega hit status to reach the blockbuster level for which a film needs either 15 crore above collection or more than 12000+ shows in theaters.

Ennu Ninte Moideen conceived by R S Vimal who is a debutant director had done it for Prithviraj on the September 19. It was on that day the film is released and after the first show is over there was no turning back for the film. The extremely good and positive word of mouth spread like wild fire and the film had really began its race at box office. Now we got the 18 days collection update of the film and as per reports coming in from various trade guides, this flick had grossed 19 cr+ from Kerala alone in those 18 days.

The flick will touch 20 cr+ within days and it will be the second only in Prithviraj’s career after Classmates which grossed around 23 crores and his first as a solo hero. Now everyone looking forward to know one thing that how far will it go from here. Will it be one of the biggest hits ever made in Mollywood..? Will it beat the gross of Premam film..? Will it reach near the collection record set by the all time blockbuster Drishyam..? The coming days will answer these question. This month will witness a flurry of releases in Mollywood and that can be also become a factor in answering all those above questions.

Mammootty starrer Pathemari, Mohanlal starrer Kanal, Nadirsha’s directorial debut named Amar Akbar Anthony which has Prithviraj, Jayasurya and Indrajith in the lead, Ashiq Abu’s Manju Warier- Rima Kallingal starrer Rani Padmini and Anil Radha Krishna Menon’s multistarrer Lord Livingston 7000 Kandi are the major films which can come in the way of Ennu Ninte Moideen in this month.
