Kammatipaadam Collection Report – 28 Days

Dulquer Salmaan’s second release this year, named Kammatipaadam had completed 4 weeks in Kerala Box office. This film is written by actor/director P Balachandran and conceived by popular cinematographer and director Rajeev Ravi. The film had received great reviews from critics and many celebrities also come out praising the film.

A section of the audience who loves realistic thrillers also gave thumps up for this realistic gangster movie. But the common audience was not really shown an excitement to watch this film and that had affected its box office response. As per latest reports that coming in from trade pandits in our industry, the film had grossed around 12.15 crore from its 28 days run here in Kerala.

The collection status of the film in last week is too low and this was a trend we witnessed right from its start at box office. The Adults Only certificate given to it by Censor Board of Film Certification and the overall dark nature of the film had kept the family audience away as well from the screens. The film had got around 11.50 crore in 21 days and from next 7 days it amassed only around 65 lakhs. The average collection per day was only around 9 lakhs in last week.

Recently the film came to lime light when the pirated print of the movie is uploaded online by a Facebook page and the producers of this film had filed a complaint against that Facebook page in Anti-Piracy cell.
