Karthi’s Sardar hits 100 cr at the box office

Karthi’s Deepavali release ‘Sardar’ has successfully hit the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office. The film, which got released on October 21 and had a direct cash with Sivakarthikeyan’s ‘Prince’, has emerged as the Deepavali winner.

Directed by PS Mithran, ‘Sardar’ is a spy-thriller dealing with a relevant social issue and geo politics. The film has the actor in a dual role as a cop and a legendary spy, who is famously called Sardar. Rajisha Vijayan and Raashi Khanna essay the female leads in the film. Bollywood actor Chunky Pandey will be seen as the antagonist in the film. Laila, Ilavarasu, Munishkanth and many others are part of the cast.

‘Sardar’ is produced by Lakshman Kumar under the banner of Prince Pictures. Right after the film was declared a hit, the makers arranged a success meet where they announced a second part. More details regarding the same are awaited.
