Kasaba First Day Collection Report

Mammootty starrer movie Kasaba which released last day in Kerala had broken all the existing first day collection records here in Mollywood and to say most specifically, the flick had broken the record set by Dulquer Salmaan starrer Kali this year here in Mollywood. This Nithin Renji Panicker movie which off to mixed response had took an earth shattering opening as expected. As per the reports that coming in, the film had grossed 2.48 crore on its first day from Kerala and previous best was 2.33 cr+ grossed by Kali this year March.

This is the first time that a Mammootty movie is entering the 2 crore club on the opening day and when it happened, it was in a grand style as well. Last day the film had set another record as well by playing 36 extra shows after the second shows in Kerala.

Nithin Renji Panicker had written the movie as well and he made it as a mass masala entertainer for youth. It has all the elements to celebrate for the fans of Mammootty and they had accepted it gleefully too.

The earlier movies which grossed over 2 crore on its first day in Mollywood was Mohanlal movies Loham and Casanova and Dulquer movies Kali and Charlie. Now Mammootty movie Kasaba become the 5th member of that club.
