Kerala Box Office: Aadhi 11 Days Collection Report

Pranav Mohanlal’s Aadhi has entered the second week and still continues to run to packed houses in almost all the major centres in Kerala. The movie directed by Jeethu Joseph is an action packed thriller. Critics as well as the commoners have lapped up the movie. Youth in particular are thronging the theatres in large numbers to watch Aadhi.

Aadhi had a never before seen kind of opening for a newcomer’s movie, thanks to the tag of Mohanlal’s son. But, with his spectacular performance Pranav has proved that he is not just another star kid, but a promising actor who is here to stay.

As per latest reports from the makers, the movie has grossed around Rs 20 crores form its 11 days theatrical run in the Kerala box office alone. This is a phenomenal opening for a newcomer’s movie. With a wide overseas release slated for next week, Aadhi is now right on track to become one of the highest grossing Malayalam movies of all time.

This Jeethu Joseph directorial is an action packed entertainer. Pranav’s Parkour stunts is easily the movie’s standout element. The youngster has done some mind blowing stunts in the movie, some of them highly risky, without using any body double. The stylishly shot Parkour sequences choreographed by some renowned foreign stunt masters is the USP of Aadhi.

Apart from Pranav, the movie also has some fine performances from Siju Wilson, Anusree, Sharafudheen, Siddique and Meghanathan. Satheesh Kurup has cranked the camera and Ayoob Khan has handled the edits. The movie is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.
