Kerala Box Office: Honey Bee 2.5 Collection Report 7 Days

Asif Ali’s brother Askar Ali made his acting debut with Honey Bee 2.5, which was released on August 18. The movie is a first of its kind attempt in Malayalam cinema. Interestingly, the movie happens in the location of another movie- Honey Bee 2: Celebrations. Shyju Anthikad directed this movie which had Maheshinte Prathikaram fame Lijomol Jose as the female lead.

Honey Bee 2.5 was met with mixed reports from the critics. The movie also had very minimal promotions which has affected the box office returns. According to latest reports from our trade sources, Honey Bee 2.5 has just managed to gross 1.78 crores from it’s first week of theatrical run. In all probability, the movie will be removed this week itself as big ticket Onam releases are gearing up to hit screens from this Friday.

The core plot of Honey Bee 2.5 evolves in the location of Honey Bee 2. Artists acting in the latter will be seen in the background of this movie. Asif Ali, Bhavana, Sreenath Bhasi, Balu Varghese Lal, Suresh Krishna, Baburaj, Sreenivasan, Lena, Arya Rohit and many others who were part of the Honey Bee 2 are seen in the background of Honey Bee 2.5. These actors had to perform without any rehearsals and retakes. Live sync sound is also used in the Askar Ali starrer. Both the movies were filmed simultaneously.
