Kerala Box Office: Role Models 14 Days Collection Report

Director Raffi’s Role Models starring Fahadh Faasil and Namitha Pramod in the leads hit screens on 25 June as an Eid release. The movie, also written by Raffi, opened to mixed reports from all the release centres. Critics have rated it as a half baked product and gave it a watchable tag.

Role Models promised to be a fun filled entertainer but lost its plot in the second half with some uninspiring moments. According to latest reports from our trade sources, Role Models has managed to gross Rs 5.34 crores from it’s 14 days theatrical run. The figures suggest a mediocre run and the movie is fast moving into the flop category. With other new releases like Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum getting good reports, it will be pretty tough for Role Models to hold steady.

Role Models is about the journey of Gautham, played by Fahadh, who along with his friends take off to Goa to learn how to take life lightly. Vinayakan, Sharafudheen and Vinay Forrt play Fahadh Faasil’s college mates. The movie stars Namitha Pramod as the female lead. She plays as an adventure sports trainer and has undergone a different makeover, lookwise, for this movie.

Srinda Arhaan, Renji Panicker, Seetha, Raffi and many other supporting actors are also part of the cast. Gopi Sunder has handled the music department and Shamdat Sainudeen has cranked the camera. The movie is produced by GP Vijayakumar under the banner of Seven Arts.
