Kerala Box Office: Role Models 9 Days Collection Report

Fahadh Faasil starrer Role Models hit screens on 25 June as an Eid release. The movie, written and directed by Raffi opened to mixed reports from all the release centres in Kerala. Critics rated it as a half baked but watchable movie.

Role Models promised to be a fun filled entertainer but lost it’s plot in the second half with some uninspiring moments. The story is about how the protagonist Gautham, played by Fahadh Faasil, takes off to Goa to learn to take life lightly, with his friends. Vinayakan, Sharafudheen and Vinay Forrt play Fahadh college mates in the movie. It stars Namitha Pramod as the female lead. She plays as an adventure sports trainer and is seen in a different makeover in this movie

According to latest reports from our trade sources, Role Models has managed to gross Rs 4.46 crores from it’s 9 days theatrical run in the state. The figures suggest a mediocre run and with other new releases like Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyum getting good reports, it will be hard for Role Models to hold on.

Srinda Arhaan, Renji Panicker, Seetha, Raffi and many other supporting actors are also part of the cast. Gopi Sunder has handled the music department and Shamdat Sainudeen has cranked the camera. The movie is produced by GP Vijayakumar under the banner of Seven Arts.
