Lucifer crosses Rs 200 crore mark, claim makers!

Mohanlal starrer ‘Lucifer’, which hit screens worldwide on March 28, has reached the 50th day of its glorious theaterical run. The movie has smashed multiple box office record and is now the highest grossing Malayalam movie ever. Along with the 50th day special poster, the makers have claimed that the movie has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark.

We suppose the movie has registered an overall business of Rs 200 crores, which includes earnings from box office and other rights. If it is true, then ‘Lucifer’ is the first Malayalam film to have done that. Mohanlal is once again stamping his authority at the box office and proving why he is the biggest crowd puller of the industry.

‘Lucifer’, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran and scripted by Muriali Gopy, is a mass entertainer set in the backdrop of Kerala politics. Mohanlal plays the lead role in the movie, that also stars Vivek Oberoi, Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, Manju Warrier, Sai Kumar and Saniya Iyappan in key roles. It is produced by Mohanlal’s own banner Aashirvad Cinemas. The movie is now available on digital streaming platform Amazon Prime in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu languages.
