Mammootty’s Kannur Squad touched total business of 100 crores

Megastar Mammootty’s recent film, ‘Kannur Squad,’ has proven to be the second most significant success in his career and ranks as the 6th highest-grossing film in Mollywood’s history. Released on September 28th, the film is now nearing the conclusion of its theatrical run.

The production team has proudly announced that the film has achieved a remarkable milestone, accumulating a total business of 100 crores. This figure encompasses its earnings from theatrical gross worldwide, along with various rights, such as digital and satellite rights. The film has amassed approximately 80 crores globally, with an additional 20 crores from other revenue sources.

Mammootty’s prior highest-grossing worldwide film was ‘Bheeshma Parvam,’ directed by Amal Neerad and released in 2022. It earned approximately 85 crores in its global run, also amounting to a total business of around 100 crores.

The movie ‘Kannur Squad,’ helmed by debutant director Roby Varghese Raj, accumulated over 40 crores from Kerala and nearly the same from overseas and other regions of India combined. This investigative thriller, produced by Mammootty’s own Mammootty Kampany, was crafted by actor Rony David Raj and Muhammad Rafi.
