Puthiya Niyamam Collection Report – First Day

Mammootty- Nayanthara starrer film directed by AK Sajan named Puthiya Niyamam had released last day all over India and the film had opened to mixed reports from all over. It has been hailing as one of the decent family thrillers we saw in recent times in Malayalam.

The film had released above 90 screens in Kerala and as per the official collection report, the film had grossed around 1.2 crore rupees from its first day from Kerala. The distributors Abbam movies told Onlookers Media that they had got 46 Lakhs (without adding multiplex share) as their first day share. Rest of India collection still not available.

Even though it has not made big in its first day collection, there is a chance that it might pick up in the coming days because of the encouraging word mouth getting from social media circles. The film is of a thriller type and not have much colorful elements in it. But if family audience supports the film, then it can show the real might at box office for sure.

Mammootty and Nayan Thara getting good applause for their performance in the film and Nayanthara had steal the show with more screen space than Mammootty. Mammootty had made a terrific last 15 minutes come back as well. Anyway let’s hope that the good word of mouth will materialize in to good box office collection as well.
