Theri First Weekend Collection Report – Worldwide

Theri, the Ilaya Thalapathy starrer flick helmed by young director Atlee had ended the first weekend on a terrific note. The film had grossed around 85.50 crores from worldwide screens on its first weekend and now all set to cross the 100 crore mark this week.

Even though week days showing drop in collections, the films dream run in the first weekend will make it sure that it crosses the magical 100 crore mark in box office and will give Vijay another 100 cr+ movie. The performance of the film outside India is superb and in Indian Market it is an above average performer.

It had raked in more than 50 crore from India alone and from outside it grossed more than 33 crores as per reports. It had made more than 28 crores on its first day itself from all around. In international circuits, the film had even got great reception in box office than Sharukh Khan’s film Fan. It had already broke many records in international circuits and even Bollywood films went down before this one.

From Chennai it had got close to 4 crore and overall from Tamil Nadu, the film had raked in 35 cr+. From Kerala it had got more than 6.60 cr+ and from Karnataka it got 5 cr+ as well.
