Check out these new stills from Arya-Pa Ranjith film Sarpatta!

As reported earlier, Pa Ranjith and Arya are teaming up for a boxing based film, which has been titled ss ‘Sarpatta Parambarai’. Arya plays a boxer named Kabilan in the film. The film’s first look poster features him inside a boxing ring with crowd cheering. The star looks absolutely stunning in the poster as he flaunts his ripped physique.

Some new stills from the film have been released by the makers. From these location stills, it is evident that it is a period story set during the 70s and 80s. Pa Ranjith, who is one of the most distinctive political voices in Tamil cinema, is trying to showcase the boxing clubs culture in North Madras during that period. The story majorly revolves around the long lasting rivalry between two groups.

The cast also includes Kalaiayarasan, Dushara, ‘Game Over’ fame Sanchana Natarajan, John Vijay, Pasupathi, Santhosh Prathap and John Kokken. On the technical front, cinematographer Murali G and music director Santhosh Narayanan, both of whom are regulars in Pa Ranjith’s films, have been retained. Stunt master duo AnbuAriv have handled the action choreography. Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Productions is backing the film along with K9 Studios.
