2 times profit for Pulimurugan’s Telugu version, Manyam Puli

Mohanlal’s latest release Pulimurugan has turned out into an all time blockbuster doing a business of over 150 crores. The Telugu version of the movie titled as Manyam Puli was released on December 2 to great response from the audience.

To say the least, the movie has surprised the trade experts and emerged a super hit in the Telugu speaking states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Reportedly, the dubbing rights of the movie was sold for an amount of rupees 1 crores. But the action adventure directed by Vysakh has already amassed about Rs 2.50 Cr share in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

When the satellite rights of the movie are also considered, the Telugu buyers have reaped a profit of over Rs 2 Cr profit from this Mohanlal starrer.

Manyam Puli released amidst high expectations after the massive success of Mohanlal’s last Telugu movie, Janatha Garage. The movie was released in around 350 theatres in the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Telugu medias reported that the movie got a great opening in the box office.

After the success of Manyam Puli, Mohanlal’s another superhit movie Oppam will also have a Telugu release. The movie titled as Kanupapa will hit the screens on December 30.
