5 reasons why Angamaly Diaries is highly anticipated

Angamalay Diaries, a movie mostly starring newcomers is scheduled to release on March 3. Despite the fact that most actors in the movie are newbies, it is one of the most expected films of the season. Here’s why the movie is eagerly awaited by the audience.

Lijo Jose Pellissery

The first and foremost reason being the director’s name. Lijo Jose Pellissery is one of the most promising new gen filmmakers. He has carved a niche for himself in the industry with just four movies. He is not someone who goes the formulaic way and he has shown that through his movies like City of God, Amen and Double Barrel. The director always strives for freshness in the treatment and that has been his forte. All his movies have an unique presentation style and Angamaly Diaries will be no different.

Friday Film House

There are only very few production houses in Mollywood who have supported young talents. Friday Film House is one such company who have spotted young and raw talents. Angamaly Diaries is their seventh production and interestingly, five of them were directed by debutants. Angamaly Diaries despite being a movie starring newcomers was made with a budget that’s equal to any other star vehicle.

Songs

Prashanth Pillai, a regular in Lijo Jose Pellissery’s movies has composed the songs in the movie. The album has nine tracks all together. Two songs, Theeyame and Ayalathe, have already been released for promotional purposes. Both the songs have caught the attention of the audience and are trending virally in social media pages.

Trailer

Angamaly Diaries was a lesser known movie until the trailer released. A raw and crisp trailer that gave a sneak peek to the movie without revealing anything about the plot. The two minute trailer set the tempo perfectly by publicising the movie among the audience.

Technical Team

Technical team in the movie comprises mostly youngsters who have already proved their abilities.
Cinematography in the movie is handled by Girish Gangadharan, noted for his works in movies like Neelakasham Pachakadal Chuvanna Bhoomi, Kali and more recently Guppy.

Shameer Muhammed is handling the editing department. Shameer’s seamless editing in Charlie was highly appreciated. He has some very good projects in his kitty like Oru Mexican Aparatha, Thrissivaperoor Kliptham and the upcoming B Unnikrishnan- Mohanlal movie.

Angamaly Diaries marks the debut of actor Chemban Vinod Jose as a screenwriter. The movie is said to be inspired from real life incidents that happened in Angamaly.
