52nd Kerala State Film Awards: Here’s the complete list of winners

Kerala State Film Awards for the year 2022 has been announced. The jury for this year was headed by filmmaker-screenwriter Saeed Akhtar Mirsa. While Biju Menon and Joju George won the award for Best Actor (Male), Revathy bagged the award in the female category.

Best Adapted Screenplay – Syam Pushkaran (Joji)

Best Story – Shahi Kabir (Nayattu)

Best Debutant Director – Krishnendu Kalesh (Prappeda, Hawk’s Muffin)

Best Character Actress – Unnimaya Prasad (Joji)

Best Character Actor – Sumesh Moor (Kala)

Best Music Director – Hesham Abdul Wahab (Hridayam)

Best Background Score – Justin Varghese (Joji)

Best Female Playback Singer – Sithara Krishnakumar (‘Paalnilaavin Poykayil’, Kaanekkaane)

Best Male Playback Singer – Pradeep Kumar (‘Raavil Mayangumee’, Minnal Murali)

Best Lyricist – B K Harinarayanan, Kaadakalam

Best Cinematographer – Madhu Neelakandan (Churuli)

Best Editing – Mahesh Narayanan, Rajesh Rajendran (Nayattu)
