Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par Locks Release Date for June 2025

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is all set to return to the big screen with his much-anticipated film Sitaare Zameen Par, which now has a confirmed theatrical release date. Aamir Khan Productions unveiled the film’s first-look poster on Monday, May 5, and announced that the movie will hit theatres worldwide on June 20, 2025. Initially planned for a Christmas release, the makers have now opted for a summer window, heightening anticipation among fans who have been eagerly waiting for an update.

The first-look poster features Aamir Khan with ten fresh faces, indicating the film’s focus on youth and mentorship. It hints at Aamir playing the role of a basketball coach, bringing an inspiring and sporty twist to the narrative. The debutants—Aroush Datta, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar—will be seen sharing screen space with the Bollywood icon in their first film outing.

Directed by Shubh Mangal Saavdhan fame RS Prasanna, the film also stars Genelia D’Souza and Darsheel Safary in key roles. With lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya and music by the acclaimed trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, Sitaare Zameen Par promises to deliver a heartwarming experience. The screenplay is penned by Divy Nidhi Sharma, and the film wrapped up its shoot in June 2024. As a spiritual sequel to the 2007 classic Taare Zameen Par, the film is expected to carry forward its emotional depth with a fresh narrative.
