Aanandam enters 5th week in theatres

Aanandam, a movie about travel and friendship of a group of students in an engineering college was well received by the audience. Aanandam received appreciation from both the critics and the audience . The movie is now successfully entering its 5th week in theatres This light hearted entertainer was directed by debutant Ganesh Raj, a long time associate of Vineeth Sreenivasan.

Vineeth Sreenivasan entered production through this movie. He funded the movie along with Vinod Shornur under their banners Habit of Life and Cast n Crew. Aanandam starred seven new comers in the lead roles. The movie dealt with the incidents happening during the 4 day trip from an engineering college as part of their Industrial Visit.

Aanandam before release was tagged as a small movie due to the absence of big names in the cast or the crew. Most of the crew members in the movie are also youngsters with many of them making their debut. The film received good word of mouth from the audience mainly the youngsters.

After getting a relatively smaller release, Aanandam expanded to more theatres after the good response. Aanandam was also released overseas after the good response in Kerala. The movie was released in Canada and United States from November 10th. It is soon getting released in UK also.

Outside Kerala, Aanandam is still running in places like Bangalore, Mangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Manipal, New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Gujarat. Playback singer turned music director Sachin Warrier made his debut as a composer in Aanandam. All the songs were well received and helped in promoting the movie among the family audience.

It is indeed remarkable that a small movie like Aanandam without major stars is successfully entering the 5th week in theatres.
