Actress Asin blessed with a baby girl!

Popular actress Asin and husband Rahul Sharma have been blessed with a baby girl on Tuesday (October 25). Sharing the news to her followers, Asin, on her Instagram page, has released a statement which reads,

“We are ecstatic to announce the arrival of our angelic baby girl earlier today. The last nine months have been most special and exciting for the both of us and we would like to thank all our wellwishers and everyone who has been part of our journey for all their love and support.”

Asin got married to Rahul Sharma, the founder of mobile giant Micromax, in January last year. Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who played a cupid for the pair, visited Asin today and a picture of him holding the newborn is trending virally in social medias.

Asin, a Malayali by birth, started her acting career with Sathyan Anthikad’s Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka. She soon forayed into other South Indian industries. Her performance in films like Ghajini, Pokkiri, M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi, Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi made her popular among the audience.

A three time Filmfare award winner, Asin is one of the very few actors to have dubbed in her own voice for all her films, irrespective of the language.

In 2008, AR Murugadoss launched her in Bollywood opposite Aamir Khan with the official remake of Ghajini. She then starred opposite other leading actors like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Abishek Bachchan. Her last release was All Is Well in 2015.
