After Powerstar, Omar Lulu to team up with Jayaram for a family entertainer

Talks about Jayaram and Omar Lulu teaming up have been doing the rounds for a long time. However, there has been no official announcement yet. Last day, during a Clubhouse interaction session, the director was asked about the same. He confirmed that he is indeed planning to collaborate with Jayaram. If things turn out as per plans, Omar’s next after ‘Powerstar’ will be with Jayaram. Apparently, it will be a family based entertainer, unlike Omar’s other films, which are mostly youth-centric.

Over the last few years, Jayaram has been going through a lean phase. Though he has done meaty roles in some other-language films, he hasn’t been in any great form in Malayalam. The veteran star will be next teaming up with Sathyan Anthikad, his one-time frequent collaborator. Meera Jasmine is also making her comeback with this film. It is scripted by Dr Iqbal Kuttipuram. Central Productions is producing the film, shoot for which is expected to begin once the pandemic situation gets better.
