Mohanlal, the Complete Actor of Indian Cinema is literally ruling South Indian Cinema now and in 2016, he had dominated South Indian box office like never before.

In 2016, he had delivered 3 back to back all-time blockbusters in his career and two of them is now among the top 5 South Indian grossers in 2016.

When we look at the list of top 15 South Indian grossers of All-time, after Vijay and Rajinikanth, it is Mohanlal who have multiple movies in that list.

The top 5 South Indian grossers in 2016 is Kabali, Theri, Janata Garage, Pulimurugan and Sarainodu. Two Mohanlal films, Janata Garage and Pulimurugan, occupies the 3rd and 4th spot. Pulimurugan will soon occupy the 3rd spot by surpassing Janata Garage.
