Ajith as CBCID officer Eeswara Moorthy in Valimai

Thala Ajith’s ‘Valimai’ continues to remain under the wraps. Though shoot started almost two years back, the makers are yet to reveal the first look or any details regarding Ajith’s character. Latest buzz is that the star plays a Crime-Branch Crime Investigation Department (CBCID) officer in the film. Reportedly, his character is named as Eeswara Moorthy.

Directed by H Vinoth, ‘Valimai’ is said to be an action-packed mass entertainer. The film’s shoot is yet to be wrapped up. The team is planning to fly abroad once the situation returns to shoot the remaining portions.

‘Valimai’ will be Ajith’s first pan-Indian film with a Hindi release as well. Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi plays the female lead. Telugu actor Karthikeya Gummakonda will be seen as the antagonist in the film. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music director and Nirav Shah handles the camera. Boney Kapoor’s Bayview Projects LLP and Zee Studios are jointly producing the film.
