Alphonse Puthren reveals that he has a subject ready for Rajinikanth

Today marks the 8th anniversary of ‘Neram’, the Tamil-Malayalam bilingual that marked the feature film debut of Alphonse Puthren. After ‘Neram’, it took another two years for him to make his second film, ‘Premam’. The film turned out to be a sensational blockbuster all across the South. Since then, Alphonse has been maintaining a low-key. It’s been six years after that and fans are still eagerly waiting for his third film.

Alphonse has a considerable fan base among Tamilians as well. Recently, one of them from his Facebook followers list asked him if he has any story ready for Rajinikanth. Alphonse replied that he does have a subject ready. Apparently, he has been trying to meet the superstar ever since the release of ‘Premam’ but hasn’t been able to make it yet. He has written that if it’s destined, then he will definitely do a Rajinikanth film. He further added that he will keep trying for the same.

Alphonse is currently prepping up for his next film, which is a musical. Titled as ‘Paattu’, it has Fahadh Faasil and Nayanthara as the leads.
