Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan test positive for Covid-19; Mohanlal and Mammootty wish them speedy recovery!

Amitabh Bachchan and Abhisek Bachchan have been tested positive for Covid-19. They both have been shifted to the Nanavati hospital in Mumbai. The rest of the Bachchan family including Jaya Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and her daughter Aaradhya have tested negative.

Last night, Amitabh Bachchan had tweeted,

T 3590 -I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited ..
All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !

Abhishek followed him by tweeting,

Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you. ??

Fans, well wishers and celebrities from various fields have been wishing speedy recovery to the Bachchans. This includes Malayalam superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty as well. Akshay Kumar, Rana Daggubati, Dulquer Salmaan, Mahesh Babu, Sonam Kapoor and many others have also tweeted the same.

It is learnt that Amitabh Bachchan had been staying at home since the lockdown was announced. But he had recently shot promotional content for the quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati and other projects at his home and hence has contact with the production crew who came to his house. Abhishek, meanwhile, had visited a dubbing studio several times over the past week.
