Amitabh Bachchan Joins Rajinikanth’s Thalaivar 170: Bollywood Meets Kollywood

Superstar Rajinikanth is currently immersed in the production of his eagerly awaited project, tentatively titled Thalaivar 170. This cinematic extravaganza, blending entertainment with a potent social message, is under the skilled direction of T. J. Gnanavel, renowned for his work in the critically acclaimed film “Jai Bhim,” which starred Suriya in the lead role.

Thalaivar 170 is shaping up to be a milestone in Rajinikanth’s illustrious career, and it recently received a Bollywood infusion as the legendary Amitabh Bachchan joined the ensemble. Rajinikanth himself shared a captivating photo of the two icons together, expressing his delight at reuniting with Bachchan after a remarkable 33 years.

In a heartfelt tribute, Rajinikanth referred to Amitabh Bachchan as his mentor and a true phenomenon. He conveyed his sheer joy at having the privilege to work alongside Mr. Bachchan once more. The production is in the capable hands of Lyca Productions, and the musical genius Anirudh Ravichander is set to compose the film’s score.

Thalaivar 170 boasts an ensemble cast of exceptional talents, with Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan leading the way. Lady Superstar Manju Warrier, the sensation from Mollywood, Fahad Fazil, Telugu star Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, and more are poised to play pivotal roles in this cinematic spectacle.

The grandeur of this Pan-Indian production kicked off in the picturesque landscapes of Kerala in the first week of October. Reportedly, Rajinikanth will essay the role of a determined police officer, standing against the tide of fabricated encounter punishments. This reunion of two iconic actors, Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth, harks back to their collaboration in the Bollywood classic “Hum,” directed by Mukul S. Anand and released in 1991.
