Ananda Vikatan Cinema Awards announced; Here’s the list of winners!

Ananda Vikatan is a popular Tamil language weekly magazine and every year they honour the best from Kollywood. This year’s award ceremony was held last day in Chennai. ‘Peranbu’ directed by Ram won the award for Best Film. ‘Asuran’ maker Vetrimaaran won the award for Best Director and the same film helped Dhanush bag the award for Best Actor. Taapsee Panni was chosen as the Best Actress for her performance in ‘Game Over’.

Thiagaraja Kumararaja’s highly acclaimed film ‘Super Deluxe’ bagged a few awards including the Best Supporting Actress award for Ramya Krishnan. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s brilliant work in it along with ‘Peranbu’ won him the award for Best Music Director. PS Vinod and Nirav Shah, the cinematographers of ‘Super Deluxe’ were also honoured.

George Maryan, who delivered a surprisingly remarkable performance in the blockbuster film ‘Kaithi’, was chosen as the Best Supporting Actor.
