Angamaly Diaries fame Sarath Kumar roped in for Odiyan and Kayamkulam Kochunni

Lijo Jose Pellissery’s Angamaly Diaries (AD) gifted a bunch of talented actors to the industry. Sarath Kumar who impressed everyone with his terrific performance as the prime antagonist Appani Ravi has been bagging a lot of offers. His physical appearance does not suit the looks of a conventional actor. However, Sarath with his impeccable performance in AD showed that physical appearance is never a factor for a talented actor.

Mohanlal’s Velipadinte Pusthakam, Neeraj Madhav’s Paipinchuvattile Pranayam, Amala and Sunny Wayne’s Pokkiri Simon Oru Kadutha Aradhakan are some of the upcoming movies he is part of. Offers continue to pour in for this gifted actor.

According to latest reports, Sarath has bagged two biggies- Mohanlal’s Odiyan and Nivin Pauly’s Kayamkulam Kochunni. He has been roped in to play prominent roles in these highly anticipated movies.

Nivin Pauly is playing Kayamkulam Kochunni in ace filmmaker Rosshan Andrrews’ movie based on the life of the legendary thief. Sunny Wayne, Amala Paul and debutante Priyanka Thimmesh are also part of the cast. National award winning duo Bobby and Sanjay are scripting this film which is scheduled to go on floors this September. Gokulam Gopalan is funding this movie under the banner of Sri Gokulam Films.

Mohanlal’s Odiyan is currently in its pre-production stage. It is arguably one of the most interesting upcoming projects in South Indian cinema. It’s a fantasy film that has a mix of action, romance and magical realism. Ad filmmaker VA Shrikumar Menon is making his directorial debut with this film written by National award winner Harikrishnan.

Odiyan also stars Manju Warrier and Prakash Raj in prominent roles. Mohanlal’s own banner Aashirvad Cinemas is funding this big budget movie. Palakkad, Pollachi, Hyderabad and Varanasi have been finalized as the major locations.

An official announcement about Sarath Kumar’s casting in both these movies is expected to be announced very soon.
