Sheela said that Anoop Menon is handsome than Mammootty, Mohanlal and Prithviraj and his acting style and selection of films is also top class. Sheela also said that she will chose Anoop Menon to replace Sathyan if Chemeen is remaking now. This may be the biggest ever word of praise he ever got and these words from a person like Sheela is much bigger than any awards. She is a legendary actress and when she says Anoop Menon is her favorite actor, it is sure that she had spotted the great potential this man has as an actor.

This year he had 2 releases named Malgudi Days and Pavada. His performance got appreciated in both the films and his next release may be Karinkunnam Sixes by Deepu Karunakaran, which has Manju Warrier playing the female lead opposite him. Both of them had acted together in Pavada as well in which she came in a cameo appearance.
