Sorry ladies, Anoop Menon is no longer single. He took the wedding vows with his longtime friend Shema Alexander this morning. The function was held at Anoop Menon’s residence at 7.30 a.m. The function was a private affair and was attended only by their relatives and close friends. However, they have organized a grand reception which will begin at 7 P.M. in the evening. Shema and Anoop Menon have known each other for the past five years.

Shema Alexander is native of Pathanapuram and belongs to a Christian family. Her parents are Thottumukkath Alexander and Lilly Alexander.  Her family has no connection with the film industry. Anoop Menon revealed that some people have advised him not to accept a widow as his wife. Anoop also said that Shema had to go through a lot of things in her life and that she fought her way out of problems valiantly. He noted that he always wanted a partner who will stand by his side as a friend and that he has found that woman in Shema.

Anoop Menon was a familiar face to the Malayalam audience long before he made his debut in movies. He worked for different channels as a host.  He also played the central character in many popular serials such as Megham and Swapnam, which took his popularity to a next level. Aside from acting, he also appeared to have an innate talent for scriptwriter. His first movie assignment was Pakal Nakshatrangal in which he participated both as a scriptwriter and as an actor. He appeared in the movie as Mohanlal’s son, which, itself, is a remarkable feat for a new comer. His potentiality as a scriptwriter and actor was appreciated by the film world.

But the crowning point of his career was the movie Beautiful in which he handled various departments such as acting, script writing and lyrics. This movie marked his debut as a lyricist and the song  Mazhaneer Thullikal was on of the most popular songs of the year. The movie enjoyed financial success and was given a thumbs up by the critics. He performed in the movie as one of the two protagonists and shared the screen space with Jayasurya. His other super hit movies are Trivandrum Lodge, Hotel California, Angry Birds, and his latest release Dolphins. It is a double joy for Anoop Menon as he is celebrating the success of Dolphins and now, he is married to his ladylove. We would like to wish them all the happiness in their married life.
