Anu Sithara to play the female lead in Ranjith’s next

We had earlier reported about ace filmmaker Ranjith roping in Maniyan Pilla Raju’s son Niranj for his next movie. Noted scenarist Sethu has scripted this movie which will be shot completely in London. Incidentally, this is only the third time that Ranjith will be directing a movie for which he has not written the script.

As per latest reports, Anu Sithara has been brought on board to play the female lead in this movie. The actress rose to fame with her commendable performance in Ranjith Sankar’s Ramante Edanthottam. She was showered with appreciation from critics for her matured performance in the movie. It is not often that heroines get such solid roles in mainstream movies and Anu Sithara ensured that she gave her best. It is still not known whether Anu Sithara will be romancing Niranj in the upcoming Ranjith directorial.

Niranj made his entry to film industry in 2013 with the movie Black Butterflies that was produced by his father. He made his debut as a lead actor only recently with the movie titled Bobby. The youngster won praise for his performance in the movie, where he played the character of a boy who falls in love with an older woman and gets married to her.

Ranjith’s upcoming movie will be produced by Maha Subair under the banner of Varnachitra Big Screen. More details regarding the other cast and crew members is expected to be announce very soon. The movie will start rolling by the end of October.
