Anushka Shetty to be paired with Kamal Haasan in Vettaiyaadu Vilayadu 2?

For the last few weeks, there has been a strong buzz about ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu’ getting a sequel. It all started after director Gautham Vasudev Menon expressed his wish to make a second part. In a recent interview, the director said that he would definitely helm a sequel if Kamal Haasan is on board. Few days back, Gautham Menon was spotted having a discussion with Haasan at his office. This further fuelled the speculations.

Latest reports suggest that Vels International headed by Isari K Ganesh will be producing ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu 2’. Anushkha Shetty’s name is being rumoured as the female lead. If it materializes, it will be her first ever outing with Kamal Haasan and second film with Gautham Menon after ‘Yennai Arindhaal’.

‘Vettaiyaadu Vilayaadu’ is one of the most celebrated cop films in Tamil cinema. Gautham Menon’s stylish making reminiscent of the Hollywood investigative thrillers and Kamal Haasan’s brilliant perfomance as DCP Raghavan made the film stand out from the regular cop films. If the news about the sequel turns out to be true, expectations will be huge among the audience.
