Anusree playing cop role in Mohanlal movie Oppam

Anusree already had a blockbuster this year through Maheshinte Prathikaram in which she played the character of a nurse who loves and then leaves the male lead played by Fahad Fazil. Her next outing will be as a Young cop in the upcoming Mohanlal-Priyadarshan movie named Oppam.

It is her first police character in her career and she is playing a smart police officer named Ganga in this film, says Priyadarshan. She plays a newly appointed Assistant Police Commissioner. Ganga is inexperienced and that reflects in the action of this police character. Priyadarshan also said that there will not be any love track in this movie.

Mohanlal plays a blind man in this movie and he is trapped in a serious situation as police believes that he is the main culprit in a crime that stunned the society. But Ganga believes that Jayaraman, played by Mohanlal is innocent in this crime. She had a grandfather who is visually challenged and she can relate to such people very well. So, she helps Jayaraman to find the truth.

Priayadarshan said that they wanted someone to do the cop role well and also one who looks like a Malayalee. That is why they had opted for Anusree. Vimala Raman, another popular South Indian actress also plays an important role in this film.

Artists like Aju Varghese, Harish Kanaran, Samudrakkani, Chemban Vinod, Kunjan etc also playing a part in this movie. Ekambaram is the cameraman of this film. Antony Perumbavoor producing this flick, which will come as an Onam release this year.
