Aparna Balamurali’s next with Kalki director Praveen Prabharam titled Ula; Here’s the first look poster!

Aparna Balamurali is still basking in the glory of ‘Soorarai Pottru’, in which she delivered an equally compelling performance alongside Suriya. The actress received widespread appreciation for her performance in it. Aparna’s next in Malayalam has her playing the solo lead. Titled as ‘Ula’, the film is directed by Praveen Prabharam, who made his debut with the Tovino Thomas starrer ‘Kalki’. The first look poster of ‘Ula’ got unveiled recently by actor Prithviraj Sukumaran through his official Facebook page.

Since Praveen Prabharam’s maiden film ‘Kalki’ was a theatrical failure, he will be trying to ensure that his sophomore outing turns out to be a successful one. He has scripted ‘Ula’ along with Sujin Sujathan. As per the makers, it is a women-centric subject that is centred around a beautiful, happy family that gets affected by one major incident and how the lead character reacts to it.

‘Ula’ has Faiz Siddik of ‘Operation Java’ fame as the cinematographer. Rakesh Cherumadam will be handling the editing department. Jishnu Laxman is producing the film under the banner of 16 Frames. The makers are planning to start shooting by June.
