Applause for Velaikkaran from censor board officials!!

After Thani Oruvan, director Mohan Raja is back again with another socially relevant film- Velaikkaran. The movie starring Sivakarthikeyan, Fahadh Faasil and Nayanthara in lead roles is one of the most awaited Tamil films of the year. Recently, the movie was screened for the censor board officials for film certification. It is reported that the officials were highly impressed by the movie and awarded it a clean U certificate without cutting any scene.

Velaikkaran lies on similar lines to Thani Oruvan, as it is packaged as a commercial entertainer with a very relevant social message. While that film was about medical mafia, Velaikkaaran deals with food adulteration and how a slum dweller fights against the corrupt system. The makers have dedicated this upcoming movie to the working class people.

Velaikkaran discusses some very serious issues and the makers are confident that it will be very much relatable to the audience. Sivakarthikeyan had recently made a breaking announcement that he would not be acting in advertisements any more. Apparently, the movie also talks about how ad films are misleading and the impact that it has among the general public.

Velaikkaran’s stellar star cast also includes Nayanthara, Sneha, Prakash Raj, RJ Balaji, Sathish, Rohini and many others. Anirudh Ravichander has done the music and his songs have already turned into chartbusters. RD Raja’s 24 AM Studios is funding this big budget movie.
