Argentina Fans Kattoorkadavu will be a movie that every football fan would cherish: Kalidas Jayaram

Post-Poomaram, Kalidas Jayaram has his kitty full with a handful of projects. One of them is ‘Argentina Fans Kattoorkadavu’ with director Midhun Manuel Thoma. The movie touted to be a fun entertainer has Kalidas and Aishwarya Lekshmi in the lead roles. Ashiq Usman is funding the movie under the banner of Ashiq Usman productions. Kalidas, who is a big fan of Midhun’s ‘Aadu’ series, has pinned high hopes on their upcoming film.

In a recent interview, Kalidas said that the Malayali audience will be able relate to every scene in ‘Argentina Fans Kattoorkadavu’. He also added that the movie would be cherished by all the football frenzy fans of the state. Ths movie is based on a short story by Ashokan Charuvil. Midhun Manuel and John Manthrikal are jointly working on the script. From the title, we presume the movie to be a fun entertainer revolving around a bunch of football fans.

Last month, the makers had conducted auditions to cast newcomers in various roles. They also have also roped in some real-life football crazy fans. In the technical crew, ‘CIA’ fame Renadive will be cranking the camera and Noble Thomas will be handling the edits. Gopi Sunder has been signed as the composer. Central Pictures will be distributing the movie in Kerala.

Details regarding when the movie goes on floors will be announced shortly. Kalidas is currently shooting for the Santhosh Sivan directorial ‘Jack n Jill’, which has him playing the lead along with Manju Warrier and Soubin Shahir.
