Arjun Kapoor and Akhil Akkineni in Kammatipaadam remake

Dulquer Salmaan starrer Malayalam movie named Kammatipaadam is getting very good appreciation from critics here in Kerala and audience too seems to be impressed by this film directed by Rajeev Ravi and written by P Balachandran. The film is getting decent box office response from here as well.

Now, the report coming in that Kammatipaadam will soon speak Hindi and Telugu if the talks going on yield fruitful results. If everything goes well, the film will be remade to Hindi and Telugu language. Arjun Kapoor and Akhil Akkineni is considered to play the lead role in Hindi and Telugu respectively.

Nothing has been finalized yet and both these actors do not even saw the film as of now. But as per sources, they are the front runners to grab this role as their looks and image suits the lead character in this film which was played by Dulquar Salman in Malayalam. The hindi version will be directed by Rajeev Ravi himself as he had worked in several Hindi movies and had connections with many production studios there at Bollywood.

Kammatipaadam is based on the gangster history of Kochi and it tells how a village named Kammatipaadam transformed in to the Metro City of Kochi.
