Asif Ali’s Iblis will be a Jagga Jasoos like musical adventure-comedy film!

Its a good time to try experimental films in Mollywood. The audience nowadays are now more welcoming to such films. Asif Ali’s upcoming movie Iblis will be one such attempt. The movie is to directed by Rohit VS, whose debut film Adventures of Omanakuttan also had Asif in the lead.

Premam fame Madonna Sebastian has been paired opposite Asif in this upcoming movie. Like the director’s debut venture, this one is also a very unique attempt. It is a musical comedy on the lines of Jagga Jasoos. The Ranbir Kapoor starrer directed by Anurag Basu w released in July this year. Though it garnered critical acclaim, the movie tanked at the box office.

Sameer Abdul, the co-writer of Adventures of Omanakuttan has also penned Iblis. It is a musical adventure, something rarely attempted in the grounds of Malayalam cinema. The characters of this film will be extremely animated and are almost caricaturish in their emotions and body language.

Iblis will have four lead characters played by Asif Ali, Madonna Sebastian, Siddique and National award winning child actor Master Adish Praveen. The movie is being funded by Ichais productions. The makers are planning to start shoot by early next year.

Asif Ali is currently busy shooting for debutant Vijesh Vijay’s Mandaram, in which he will be seen sporting five different looks. Newcomer Mridul Nair’s fun entertainer B Tech is another film in the pipeline.
