Ayyappanum Koshiyum starts rolling

Shoot for Prithviraj-Biju Menon starrer ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ commenced today in Attapadi. The film is written and directed by Sachi. Director Ranjith and his friend PM Sasidharan are jointly producing it under the banner of Gold Coin Motion Picture Company. The film has Biju Menon as Ayappan Nair, a middle-aged police constable posted in Attapadi and Prithviraj as Koshy Kurian, a havildar who is retired from army after 16 years of service.

‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ also stars Anna Reshma Rajan of ‘Angamaly Diaries’ fame, Siddique, Anu Mohan, Sabumon Abdusamad, Anil Nedumangad, Shaju Sreedhar and many others. The film deals with the clash between the two titular characters, Ayyappan Nair and Koshi, over a small legal issue. It is about the battle of egoes between the two men.

As per director Sachi, it is his first attempt in making a real mass action flick. The subject has scope for it and hence the makers are opting for a mass treatment. Sachi has worked on the script for over a year. Sudeep Elamon of ‘Pathinettam Padi’ and ‘Finals’ fame is the cinematograer and Jakes Bejoy has been signed as the composer.
