B Unnikrishnan about working with Manju Warrier and Mohanlal

Director B Unnikrishnan is currently on a break after completing the first two schedules of his upcoming movie Villain, a crime thriller starring Mohanlal in the lead. It is one of the most anticipated films of the year as the director has managed to get on board some big names from the south.

Mohanlal is playing the role of Mathew Manjooran, a retired police officer in the film. He will be appearing in two different looks; one in a salt n pepper bearded avatar and the other in a clean shaven cop look. Manju Warrier is playing his wife’s role in the film.

Villain is Manju’s fourth film alongside Mohanlal, but this is the first time they will be seen as a married couple. They last acted together in 2015 for Sathyan Anthikad’s Ennum Eppozhum.

Director B Unnikrishnan has great admiration for both the actors and expressed it through a recent Facebook update. He shared a photo of him with Mohanlal and Manju and along with that wrote, “It was great to to work with two of our greatest actors ever”.

Villain is the director’s fourth film with Mohanlal. He has previously worked with the superstar in Madampi, Grandmaster and Mr Fraud. This is his first film with Manju Warrier.

Apart from the lead pair, Villain also stars Tamil actor Vishal, Hansika Motwani, Srikanth and Raashi Khanna in playing pivotal roles. Rockline Venkatesh, who has produced films like Bhajrangi Bhaijaan and Lingaa is funding this movie.
