Bala starts working out for Bilal; Shoot to begin shortly!

‘Bilal’, the second part of Mammootty’s cult gangster film ‘Big B’, is gearing up to go on floors in March. Amal Neerad, who made his directorial debut with ‘Big B’, is helming the sequel as well. Bala, Mamta Mohandas and Manoj K Jayan, who all played crucial roles in the first part, have been retained in ‘Bilal’.

Bala has already started working out for the film. It is learnt that he will be sporting a ripped physique. In ‘Big B’, his character Murugan John Kurishingal was a fight master in Tamil film industry. Bala’s swift and stylish stunts were one of the film’s highlights. His character also had a parallel love track with Mamta Mohandas. The romantic song ‘Muthu Mazha’ featuring the two was a big hit at those times. It remains to be seen how far their characters have evolved in ‘Bilal’.

‘Big B’ that got released in 2007 was a stylishly shot gangster flick. During its time of release, ‘Big B’ could not fare well at the box office. But over the years, it went on to attain a cult status. Naturally, expectations on ‘Bilal’ are sky-high.
