I believe Priyadarshan is one of India’s finest directors and Marakkar will prove it: Suniel Shetty

After playing Rajinikanth’s villain in ‘Darbar’, Bollywood star Suniel Shetty will be next seen in the Priyadarshan directorial ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’. Though he had appeared in brief roles in ‘Kakkakuyil’ and ‘Kalimannu’, this is first full-length film in Malayalam. He plays a character named Chandroth Panicker and we expect to see Shetty flexing his muscles and perform some daredevil stunts.

Suniel Shetty has worked with Priyadarshan multiple times in the past. Their combination have resulted in cult classics like ‘Hera Pheri’ and ‘Yeh Teraa Ghar Yeh Meraa Ghar’. Shetty firmly believes that Priyadarshan is one of the finest directors in the country and ‘Marakkar’ will be a proof for that. According to him, it is a huge film that was shot in a very short time thanks to some great preparation. He believes that people will be stunned by the sheer canvas of the film and would offer a completely entertaining experience.

Touted to be the most expensive Malayalam film ever, ‘Marakkar’ boasts of a star-studded cast and crew. Mohanlal, Arjun Sarja, Suniel Shetty, Pranav Mohanlal, Keerthy Suresh, Manju Warrier, Kalyani Priyadarshan and Ashok Selvan are some of the big names in it. Several foreign actors are also playing crucial roles in the film.

Aashirvad Cinemas, Confident Group and Moonshot Entertainment are jointly producing the film, which is slated for a grand worldwide release on March 26.
